Labama Bokota Kamana scored as URA returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Soana to reduce pressure on under-fire coach Ibrahim Kirya.
The tax collectors had won just once in their previous five games.
They came into this on the back of a 2-1 defeat to log leaders Police and this victory at Namboole on Tuesday could not have come at a better time.
URA’s only fourth win of the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) moves them up to eighth on 16 points. Soana are 11th on 13.
