Onduparaka 0-3 URA

URA completed the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) first round top of the table after thrashing Onduparaka 3-0 at Green Light Stadium in Arua on Wednesday.

A Steven Mukwala double and Cromwell Rwothomio goal had the tax collectors flying, meaning that the result between Vipers SC and KCCA did not matter for as long as URA won theirs.

URA now wrap the half term on 36 points from 15 games, three marks more than Vipers, who edged KCCA 1-0 in Kitende.

Mukwala opened the scoring in Arua on 21 minutes, finishing off a URA counter attack in style.

The striker doubled the advantage after the hour before Rwothomio added the icing eight minutes later.

URA deservedly lead proceedings on the halfway mark having won 11 out of 15 games, one more than second-placed Vipers.

Onduparaka, who have won six and lost as many games, end the first round in eighth place with 21 points.
