Sunday result
URA 3-1 SC Villa
There were contrasting fortunes for URA and SC Villa on Sunday, with the Tax Collectors keeping near StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) table leaders and Jogoos pointing south.
URA thrashed the record 16-time league champions, Villa, 3-1 at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje to go second on 42 points, seven behind leaders Vipers.
The result leaves the Jogoos on 22 points from as many games, just two marks and places above Soltilo Bright Stars, who occupy the final relegation spot.
Said Kyeyune started URA’s onslaught on 33 minutes before Steve Mukwala’s league leading 13th goal of the campaign made it 2-0 just after the hour.
Mukwala then teed up substitute Juma Dada for the third on 85 minutes after a fantastic team move.
Villa’s consolation came in added time, Sadam Juma converting a penalty for a 3-1 defeat.
