URA 2-0 Gaddafi
Four-time national champions URA FC picked their first win of the 2023/24 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season on Friday when they saw off Gaddafi 2-0 at the Metha Stadium in Lugazi.
Moses Aliro and Najib Fesali scored the goals for the Tax Collectors to move up the table to fourth on as many points after two matches.
On Gaddafi’s part, this was their second successive defeat following a 2-1 opening weekend loss to reigning champions Vipers in Jinja. It leaves Gaddafi third from bottom with no points.
Aliro scored URA’s first goal of the season on the half hour from Norman Namanya’s ball before Fesali wrapped up the win on 56 minutes when he connected home Laban Tibita’s assist.
