URA 2-0 Police
URA bounced back from defeat to SC villa by seeing off a sorry Police 2-0 at Namboole on Saturday.
New signings Moses Seruyide and Herman Wasswa scored for Paul Nkata’s men in the first half to condemn the Cops to a third successive loss.
Victory for URA, who lost to Villa 3-0 in their previous match, also stretched Police’s winless run in the league to seven matches.
Seruyide put the hosts ahead with a wonderful free kick in the 38th minute before Wasswa made it 2-0 at the stroke of half time.
The win moved URA above the 2005 champions, Police, to seventh place on 26 points.
Abdallah Mubiru’s Police are now eighth with a point fewer than URA.
