URA continued their rich vein of form in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) on Tuesday, Express the latest victim.
Mikidadi Ssenyonga and Anwar Mustafa’s goals in either half were enough to relegate Frank Kalanda’s 72nd minute strike to a consolation.
URA, the most in-form team in the second round of the season, move to 40 points, 10 behind leaders Vipers, but remain fourth. Express stay 11th on 28 points.
In Jinja, 10-man Busoga United went within a point of URA in fifth place following a 1-0 win over Wakiso Giants, thanks to Sharif Kimbowa’s first half goal.
Busoga’s George Kasonko was, however, showed matching orders after a second bookable offence.
At Lugogo, Proline gave themselves a boost in the fight against relegation thanks to a sublime double from Bright Anukani in a 2-1 win over Tooro.
The playmaker scored on 19 minutes before completing his double off a Hakim Kiwanuka delivery in the second half.
The hosts did endure some nervy moments, with Richard Ajuna clearing off the line after Mike Kawooya scored an 86th minute consolation penalty.
Proline, however, stay bottom of the log but are now within a point of Tooro and Police’s 22 points tally.
