SC Villa 2-2 URA

Visitors URA twice came from behind to snatch an important point in a 2-2 draw with SC Villa at the Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru on Tuesday.

Striker Cromwell Rwothomio was the saviour for the Tax Men, grabbing a late goal in an enthralling StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) clash.

Sadam Masereka and Travis Mutyaba had netted for hosts Villa, with Viane Ssekajugo scoring for URA in between.

Villa actually went ahead as early as the third minute when Masereka toe-poked home past goalkeeper Hannington Sebwalunyo after a mazy Travis Mutyaba run through a forest of URA legs.

But the Jogoos celebrations were shortlived as URA winger Sekajugo immediately levelled matters on 15 minutes after some beautiful ball control.

But Villa literally refused to surrender, the record 16-time champions regaining the lead on the stroke of half time through Mutyaba.

The midfield sensation loaded a shot from outside the 18-yard box that left the visitors goalkeeper with little chance.

Yet this was far from over. Yes Villa held on and were on course to claiming all three points, but until the 88th minute when Rwothomio popped up to ensure URA left with a point.

The result has moves Villa to 12th on the 16-team table with eight points while URA are eighth on 12.
