Pressure is intensifying on URA coach Ibrahim Kirya after yet another defeat, this time at the hands of Express.
Daniel Sserunkuma’s lone goal at Wankulukuku on Tuesday moved Express to seven points from five games. They are fourth.
For URA, this was their second defeat of the season from five games.
They have registered only win along the way, leaving them 10th with five points.
“I am not giving up on changing the team’s fortunes,” a dejected Kirya said after the game.
His team looked disjointed, especially in the first half where nothing seemed to work for the tax collectors.
URA went behind when Express defender Bernard Agele directed his header in Mubarak Nsubuga’s path with the midfielder’s effort parried by goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga.
The ball fell kindly to Sserunkuma, who stabbed home from close range.
“We now need to correct everything. It’s the third game running and we are not scoring,” lamented Kirya.
