The administrator, who was welcomed to office by the club board and coach Sam Ssimbwa, pledged to work towards bringing back glory days at the club.

“I am so happy to come back and associate with a place I call home,” said Mayeku.

“I promise to bring professionalism, experience and interpersonal skills which I believe will take back URA FC to the top where it is supposed to be.”

Mayeku has been serving the authority as a financial officer since June 2005 to-date. He was also once a general secretary for the club.
