Soltilo Bright Stars 0-3 URA

URA striker Steven Mukwala grabbed a brace and Viane Ssekajugo scored another goal as the Tax Collectors thrashed Soltio Bright Stars 3-0 at Kavumba Recreation Grounds on Tuesday.

This StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) match was the first as the competition resumed after it broke off to allow the national team – the Uganda Cranes – do a European and Asian tour.

URA’s sixth win in 14 matches sprung them three places up to fifth on 25 points, six behind leaders KCCA, on a 16-team league table.

This was Bright Stars eighth defeat in 15 matches, leaving them second from bottom of the table with just 11 points.

Ssekajugo gave the visitors the lead on 26 minutes before Mukwala doubled the advantage for URA with his eighth goal of the competition on 58 minutes.

The Pilsner Man od the Match, Mukwala, later added the icing on the cake with URA’s third on 90 minutes.

The league continues on Wednesday with Vipers SC welcoming SC Villa to St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
