Monday result
Proline 0-0 SC Villa
SC Villa officially ended their interests in winning their first league title in 14 years following a goalless draw with Proline at Lugogo on Monday.
The result kept them third, now on 55 points – four behind leaders Vipers with only one game left to wrap the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) season.
So even if Villa beat Bul in their final match in Masaka on Friday, they can only accumulate a maximum of 58 points.
For Proline, it was a case of just another crucial point added, although they will kick themselves hard for not utilising the chances they created.
The result means Proline coach Mujib Kasule’s side remain one point from safety with UPDF just above them on 29 points and with one game left to play.
Proline are, however, now level on 28 points with Express, who occupy the final relegation spot.
