Villa-Express fire blanks as Police win forces battle

Bright Stars 3-2 Wakiso Giants

There was nothing to separate SC Villa and visitors Express as the two traditional giants settled for a goalless draw at Bombo Barracks on Wednesday.

The result saw Express move to 36 points but stay third on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) log.

They trail leaders Vipers and URA by three points, all having played the same number of games. Villa are sixth on 29 points.

At Lugogo, Police comfortably won the battle of security forces, thrashing UPDF  3-0 to go fourth on the table.

Derrick Kakooza scored a brace and Frank Tumwesigye added the other as the Cops to 31 points.

At Kavumba, Sam Ssekamate, Joseph Janjali and Ibrahim Kasinde scored in Bright Stars 3-2 victory over Wakiso Giants.

The victors last goal was a penalty scored deep into added time of the dramatic encounter that also had Tom Masiko of Wakiso miss a penalty.

Ivan Bogere and Joshua Lubwama scored the two goals for Wakiso.
