Sadolin Paints 0-2 SC Villa

SC Villa got out of the blocks of Tuesday following a 2-0 victory over Sadolin Paints at Bugembe Stadium in Jinja.

Tabu Vitalis and Mike Sserumaga scored the Jogoos goals as Deo Sserwadda got his first victory as Villa coach since coming replacing Ibrahim Kirya in the offseason.

The victory for the Blues moves them to fifth in the Azam Uganda Premier League (UPL) standings with four points.

Villa, the 16-time record champions, had fired blanks in their opener with Police last Friday. Sadolin Paints were hardly impressive in their goalless draw with the Saints.

But there was not stopping the Jogoos at Bugembe, acquisition from newcomers Ondupakara, Vitalis, beating the entire Sadolin defence to put Villa ahead on 35 minutes.

Villa skipper Sserumaga then atoned for his penalty miss in the goalless with Police, scoring the visitors second from a free kick.

The league goes into a two-week break before returning on September 6, with Villa hosting JMC Hippos at Namboole.
