Villa title quest on test at Wakiso Giants

Leaders SC Villa travel to Wakiso Giants aiming to stretch their lead at the summit to six points on Saturday.

The Jogoos come into the game on the back of brilliant form with eight wins in ten league games and will be favourites against the Purple Sharks who have failed to pick a point in their last four games.

However, games between the two sides have always been closely contested and it won’t be a walk in the park for the sixteen time champions.

In the reverse fixture at Wankulukuku, Villa were dominated and beaten 2-1 and in the aftermath, the home fans pelted the visiting team with stones and led to a five-match ban on hosting their games at Wankulukuku.

Charles Bbaale, Travis Mutyaba and Jonah Kakande will be the players to look out for the visitors while the hosts will hope the backline of Arinda Ambrose and Ronald Madoi keeps things tight at the back with returning Moses Aliro and Kimbowa running the show up front.

The past five meetings have seen both teams win twice and drawn the other game.
