Vipers can’t blink against Kyetume, Express visit Busoga United

Leaders Vipers will hope to re-open their four point gap against KCCA when they host Kyetume at Kitende on Friday.

Their lead at the summit was trimmed to just a point after KCCA edged Mbarara City on Wednesday to move to 35 points.

Edward Golola is aware of what awaits them in the second round but believes the team is motivated to go all the way.

“We have prepared ourselves well knowing that this campaign is not easy,” he told the club website. “It’s going to be tough and we need to be ready for anything,” he added.

Venoms won the reverse fixture 2-1 at Namboole and will hope new signing Paul Mucureezi, striker Fahad Bayo and the rest are in fine form.

Elsewhere, Express welcome back goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga from a long injury lay off when they visit Busoga United.

The club has failed to pick maximum points from the region eversince George Ssimwogerere took over and this will be another big test for the Red Eagles.

In other games, Bright Stars host Bul while Proline are away to Maroons in Luzira.
