  • Soltilo Bright Stars 0-1 Vipers
  • Express 4-0 Kitara
  • MYDA 1-2 Wakiso Giants

Bobosi Byaruhanga scored a stunner as Vipers bounced back from a defeat at home to Mbarara City to beat hosts Soltilo Bright Stars 1-0 at Kavumba.

On a day they had to win to keep their title hopes alive, the U-20 midfielder scored the winner in the last minute of half time, a few minutes after leading top scorer Yunus Sentamu had missed a big chance from the penalty.

The win lifts the Venoms to second on the log with 56 points after 26 games, just two adrift of six time champions Express who are leading the table.

The Venoms now turn attention to the Stanbic Uganda Cup where they play SC Villa in the quarter finals over two legs before resuming title defence at home to Onduparaka.

At King George IV stadium, Wakiso Giants continued their form by edging MYDA 2-1 despite falling 1-0 in the 18th minute through Eric Mutebi goal.

Viane Ssekajugo and Kipson Atuheire scored the goals for the visitors in the 26th and 36th minutes respectively to move to 7th position with 36 points while MYDA stay 15th with 14 points.
