Vipers and Express will take over leaders URA if they beat Mbarara City and Busoga United respectively on Tuesday with the tax collectors not in action until Wednesday.
The Venoms are at home against the Ankole Lions but must not only end a four match winless run at Kitende in all competitions but also a five match winless streak against their day’s visitors.
Fred Kajoba’s side, second on the table with 53 points are just one point behind URA and victory will see them leapfrog Sam Ssimbwa’s men by two points.
Paul Mucureezi and Ibrahim Oriti will face their former bosses and so is Bashir Mutanda who will be donning Mbarara City colours.
At Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru, Express could also go top if Vipers fail to beat Mbarara City and the Red Eagles win at Busoga United.
Eric Kambale will be the main man for the visitors who are third on the table with 52 points, two behind the four time champions, URA.
Elsewhere, Wakiso Giants host Bul, MYDA are away to Kitara while Onduparaka are at home to on form Soltilo Bright Stars.
