- Vipers Vs KCCA – Emokori Grounds, Bukedea 3pm
The eyes of the Uganda Football Fraternity will be in Bukedea where league champions Vipers and outgoing champions KCCA face off in the Stanbic Uganda Cup Finals.
KCCA are desperately in need of silverware to avoid ending the domestic campaign trophy less while Vipers want to join the distinguished class of league and cup winners.
Mike Mutebi’s charges, holders of the trophy will have to do minus a number of key players including forwards Derrick Nsibambi and Muhammad Shaban as well as midfielders Lawrence Bukenya and Muzamiru Mutyaba.
Left back Mustafa Kizza is also out of the contest since he has trained with the team when he got off injured in the last league game against Police FC.
For Vipers, Nicholas Wadada is the only doubt after he limped off in the 1-0 win at home to SC Villa but Taddeo Lwanga returns to the boost the side.
The two teams have already faced off twice this season with either winning at home and it remains to be seen who will take the day on a neutral ground.
KCCA are playing a record 18th final in which they have triumphed 50% while Vipers are playing in their 4th final.
They have won the competition only once in 2016 when they won 3-1 against Onduparaka.
