StarTimes Uganda Premier League reigning champions, Vipers SC, won their fifth successive match on Tuesday, beating SC Villa 2-0 at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Marksman Yunus Sentamu, with his sixth of the campaign, and Karim Wantambala scored the Venoms goals on a day five matches were played.

Vipers sixth win in nine matches sees them close the gap on leaders Wakiso Giants to just one point with a game in hand.

The Venoms are now second on the 15-team log on 20 points while Villa, who were losing their fourth match in 10, are seventh on 14.

At MTN Omondi Stadium, KCCA are making similar noises as Vipers.

The Kasasiro Boys beat Gaddafi 2-1 for their fourth win in five games.

Brian Majwega and Allan Okello scored for the hosts to move up to third on 19 points from nine games. Alex Kitatta netted for the visitors.

At Prisons Ground in Luzira, Abraham Tusubira and Fred Amaku scored for Maroons while George Ssenkaaba and Derrick Ndahiro netted for URA in the 2-2 draw.

At Kavumba, Nelson Senkatuka scored a brace as Soltilo Bright Stars beat BUL for their third successive win.

The win moved them up to sixth on 14 points after 10 matches. BUL are fourth on 17 points from nine games.

At Akii Bua Stadium in Lira, Blacks Power won their second match of the season, beating UPDF 1-0 to move out of relegation to 12th on eight points. Ivan Okello scored the goal.
