- Vipers Vs KCCA – St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende 4pm
All roads lead to St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende as Vipers host champions KCCA in a clash that may break or make the title charge for either.
Top of the table Vipers are separated by a single point and whoever wins will enlighten chances of winning the championship this year.
Vipers lost the reverse fixture 3-1 at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo but Edward Golola, the stand in Head Coach at the moment says a lot has changed since the defeat.
“We have faced KCCA already and we know this will be another tough game,” said Golola. “In the first round, they were the better side but we went back to the drawing board after that loss and here, we are separated by one point,” he added.
They are having a run to the title as well and we can’t overlook that. But we want the title more than them this time.
For Mutebi, the concern is about refereeing and players having a good game on the day but wants to win.
I hope the referees are up to scratch. I know it’s a big game but they shouldn’t be intimidated because this is a big game. Yes, it’s a big game but if they get it right and the players get it right. I expect a good game.
Stats
The two sides have met won 10 times against each other in the last 25 meetings.
A win for KCCA will see them go top of the log for the first time this season while Vipers open up a three point gap with victory.
