Vipers, KCCA seek redemption in title hunt

Wednesday Fixtures

  • Police Vs KCCA – StarTimes stadium, Lugogo 4pm Live on TV
  • Vipers Vs Maroons – St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende 4.30pm
  • Mbarara City Vs Bul – Kakyeeka stadium 4.30pm

Log leaders Vipers and champions KCCA return to action in the league on Wednesday with ties against Maroons and Police respectively.

The two sides dropped points in the previous league outings with KCCA drawing 1-1 at home to Express while Vipers were beaten 3-1 away to URA.

Against Maroons, the Venoms can’t afford to drop points and will be all out guns blazing.

The reverse fixture was won by the Venoms but only in the board room after Maroons fielded Hannington Ssebwalunyo who was suspended then.

The goalkeeper will also miss the return leg due to suspension as well as Steven Mukwala who is on loan from the Venoms.

Maroons are struggling for points with just one win in the new year and failure to grab at least point will be disaster for Douglas Bamweyana’s side.#

At Lugogo, KCCA visit equally struggling Police and cant afford to lose any point.

The Kasasiro will be favourites against a side that has lost their previous four games in succession and have not beaten KCCA since 2007.

Elsewhere, Mbarara City host Bul at Kakyeeka with the latter targeting only their second win in the New Year.
