BUL 1-3 Vipers SC

StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) leaders Vipers SC and KCCA kept in each other’s sight as both clubs won their respective matches on Wednesday.

Table toppers, Vipers, came from a goal down to dispatch BUL 3-1 at Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe in Jinja while KCCA were 1-0 winners at home to URA at Lugogo.

Victory for both meant that Vipers stayed top of the standings on 36 points, just one ahead of KCCA, all having played 16 matches apiece.

Patrick Kaddu’s second minute goal was all KCCA needed to dispose off URA at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

In Jinja, Najib Yiga’s 23rd minute goal cancelled out Walter Ochora’s opener moments earlier before the forward scored his and Vipers second just after the half hour.

The hosts probed for the equaliser but any hopes were dashed by Yunus Sentamu’s goal seven minutes from full time for a comfortable 3-1 victory.

BUL’s fourth defeat of the campaign keeps seventh on the 16-team log with 26 points.
