Vipers leave it late against Kitara

Wednesday result 

Vipers SC 2-1 Kitara

Vipers SC struck twice late in the game at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende to register their first win of the 2020/21 StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) season.

The Venoms came from behind to edge newcomers Kitara, who had come into this on the back of conceding 10 goals in two matches, 2-1.

Victory sees coach Fred Kajoba’s men move to ninth on four points after two matches while Kitara remain winless second from the bottom.

But the guests did give Vipers a real scare, here.

They went ahead on 55 minutes through Brian Mululi to leave Vipers bench holding faces in their palms.

The hosts probed and probed, levelling matters nine minutes from time through Paul Mucureezi.

A point would have been of good value and worth the effort for Kitara but Vipers striker Daniel Serunkuma struck two minutes later to ensure of three points for the hosts.
