Vipers SC 2-0 Mbarara City
Vipers SC restored their advantage at the top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) on Tuesday with a comfortable 2-0 home victory over Mbarara City.
The Venoms came into the game after KCCA had earlier closed the gap to the top to four points following the Kasasiro Boys 2-0 away win at UPDF.
But goals from Najib Yiga and Milton Larisa ensured the Venoms went seven points clear of second placed KCCA, both teams having played 22 games apiece. Vipers have 52 points.
Yoga broke the deadlock at St Mary’s Stadium at the stroke of halftime before Karisa killed off the affair with 20 minutes to go.
Relegation threatened Mbarara’s 13th defeat in 24 matches keeps them second from bottom with 19 points.
