Busoga United 1-1 BUL

StarTimes Uganda Premier League defending champions, Vipers SC, had to come from behind to draw 1-1 with URA at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, on Saturday.

Karim Ndugwa’s 38th minute goal cancelled out Patrick Mbowa’s 14th minute opener on a day both sides struggled to impose themselves.

The result saw Vipers miss the chance to go second on the log and consequently gave table leaders, SC Villa, who lost to Arua Hill in the week, some respite.

Vipers move to 36 points, seven and two behind Villa and KCCA respectively, but remain third on the log. URA are fourth on 34 points.

Early in the day, Innocent Media grabbed a brace as Arua Hill edged Gaddafi 2-1 at Barifa Stadium. Alex Kitata scored Gaddafi’s consolation.

Arua Hill are fifth on 33 points while Gaddafi are two places and four points below them.
