Vipers goalkeeper Alfred Mudekereza is set to be on the sidelines for three months through injury.
Mudekereza who kept goal for larger parts of the previous campaign suffered a fractured left small finger which kept him out of the closing stages of 2022/23 but did return at the start of the 2023/24 campaign and kept goal in Botswana in the 2-0 defeat to Janweng Galaxy but has since been left put.
Goalkeeper Alfred Mudekereza has undergone a detection and immobilization of his fractured left small finger sustained last season and will be out for three months.

“Goalkeeper Alfred Mudekereza has undergone a detection and immobilization of his fractured left small finger sustained last season and will be out for three months. Come back stronger, Mudekereza!” Vipers confirmed in a communication on their social media platforms.
That leaves the reigning champions with Derrick Kiggundu, Fabien Mutombora and Jack Komakech as the goalkeeping options.
