Sunday Results (quarter finals)

Vipers 0-1 Paidha Black Angels

Sadolin Paints 2-1 Onduparaka

Last year’s Uganda Cup finalists Vipers and Onduparaka suffered shock exits in the Uganda Cup after falling to Paidha Black Angels and Sadolin Paints respectively.

Vipers, winners last year fell to Fred Ameko’s solitary strike in the 29th minute and they never recovered as the FUFA Big League side cruised to the semi-finals.

The side also becomes not only the first away side to win at St. Mary’s stadium but also first to beat the one time Cup winners at the venue.

At Namboole, Sadolin Paints overcame Onduparaka with a 2-1 win with first half goals from Richard Anyama (own goal) and Muzamiru Nasser.

Ceaser Okhuti pulled one goal back for the Caterpillars but despite bossing possession, the hosts held on to reach the last four of the competition.

The semi-final set will be completed after URA faces Express at Lugazi on Tuesday while Police still awaits the winner between Kataka Mbale and KCCA.

The Kasasiro visit Kataka on Tuesday April 11, 2017 in Mbale.
