Defending champions Vipers make a trip to Jinja to face Gaddafi aiming for a perfect start to their title defence.

The Venoms enter the fray a little frustrated after failing to qualify for the group stages of the Caf Champions League and performing abysmally in the Fufa Super 8.

In addition, their Brazilian signings also left without kicking a ball in the league.

Coach Leo Martins Leiva must understand that a poor start to the league could see him lose his job sooner than later.

At the Gaddafi Arena, he will hope his forwards Yunus Sentamu, Milton Karisa and Lumala Abdu are in fine form.

In Bombo, four-time winners URA visit UPDF in a fixture that will see renewal of acquaintances.

Former army side players Ivan Ahimbisibwe, James Begisa and Ibrahim Wamanah will face their former paymasters.

It will be the first game for coach Pius Ngabo as a full time head coach in topflight.

Elsewhere, Wakiso Giants host Maroons in which will be the first time the two have faced off on opening day while troubled Busoga United and Arua Hill face off at Paridi.
