Vipers 1-0 Jinia-Kirinya

Vipers coach Michael Ouma admits they must improve but was left relieved after his team ended a two-match winless period on Friday.

The Venoms were 1-0 winners over Jinja-Kirinya in this StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) match played at St St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

“It was a good result after the results of the past games,” said.

“We can now work to build into this as we improve in other areas as well.”

Having drawn their previous two matches to further cede ground to table leaders KCCA, there was no more room for error, here.

Tito Okello scored the game’s only goal, a tap-in at the far post after a good team build up and low cross from Abraham Ndugwa six minutes before the break.

The result moved Vipers to 34 points and within three of leaders KCCA after the opening second round games.
