- Mbarara City Vs Vipers – Kakyeeka stadium 4.30pm
After failing to win in three games on the bounce, Vipers target redemption away to Mbarara City.
The Ankole Lions host the Venoms on Friday with the latter having a blip in form with their last win coming against SC Villa early in October.
Vipers have since lost to Police (2-1) and drawn with Soana (1-1) and Onduparaka (0-0) in their last three games.
Vialli Bainomugisha, the Mbarara City tactician believes this is the right time to face Vipers but is wary of their hunger.
“We have respect but no fear for Vipers,” said the former Lweza coach. “The team is ready to fight for all three points,” he added
For Miguel Da Costa, there is no better time to return to winning ways than against a City side but the Portuguese expects it tough.
“It’s one of the most difficult games,” he said. “It’s important to be prepared mentally going into the match,” he added.
“It will be difficult because our opponents are from a different division but we have the ammunition to get maximum points
With 12 points in 3rd place, Vipers will go second on the log with maximum points if Onduparaka falter at Bul while Mbarara City, who are yet to lose at home this season will jump to 5th with a win.
