Vipers could win the 2021/22 StarTimes Uganda Premier League title if they overcome champions Express FC at Kitende.
They come into the game leading the log by 14 points and a win will all but confirm them as champions with four games to spare.
On a day second placed KCCA visit relegated Tooro United, Vipers won’t care about results elsewhere but want to do their job with efficiency.
Midfielder Paul Mucureezi has called on his fellow players to keep maximum concentration and avoid complacency despite a 14-point gap and want to finish the job as early as possible.
“We are definitely ready to win but we don’t need to come with excitement that we have already won the trophy yet we haven’t,” Mucureezi told the club website. “So, we need to come when we are ready for action, have the aggressiveness that we usually have, the attitude of the players really matters a lot in the game tomorrow,” he added.
Last season, this was the game that literally dethroned the Venoms as John Byamukama long range effort won it for Express.
Meanwhile, second placed KCCA must beat Tooro United to ensure they keep second place and also hope URA falter at UPDF.
Both teams are separated by one point with URA on 46 points having played one more game while KCCA are on 47.
