Bul 1-3 Vipers SC
Vipers returned to second position in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) after scoring two late goals to clinch a 3-1 away victory over Bul at the Njeru Technical Centre on Wednesday.
The win moved Vipers, who still have two games in hand on KCCA, to 24 points, three behind the leaders.
Vipers coach Javier Martinez Espinoza’s side had a bright start, striker Daniel Sserunkuma at the end of Geoffrey Wasswa’s flicked header from a Yayo Lutimba left wing free-kick to open the scoring at the visitors first attempt.
The hosts limited Vipers attacking threat thereafter before leveling 10 minutes after the break.
Richard Matovu beat right back Ibrahim Kiyemba before pulling the ball back for Godfrey Oromchan to score with a first time finish.
But with Bul looking the better team, a moment of brilliance from Tito Okello took the game away when the forward chested down a pass before hitting an unstoppable drive to give Vipers a 75th minute lead.
Duncan Sseninde then swept home a third three minutes from time to extend Vipers’ impressive unbeaten league run to 27 games
