Wednesday Fixtures 4pm

  • SC Villa Vs URA – Bombo Barracks stadium, Bombo
  • Mbarara City Vs KCCA – Kakyeeka stadium, Mbarara (TV)

Vipers will go three points clear of second placed URA if they take care of Wakiso Giants who visit St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende.

The champions are tied at the top with the tax men but the four time champions are not in action until Wednesday when they visit SC Villa.

The Venoms will be confident going into the Wakiso Derby of sorts having won all their home games so far this season and last tasted defeat in January last year – 1-0 to Villa.

On form Ceaser Mazonki, Yunus Sentamu and Paul Mucureezi will be the key players for Fred Kajoba’s side who are targeting a second successive home win over the Purple Sharks.

The reverse fixture ended in a 1-1 draw with Viane Ssekajugo scoring in the second half at Wakissha to cancel out Muhammad Shaban first half header.

Douglas Bamweyana’s side are limping at the moment but will draw inspiration from their impressive 2-0 win over Onduparaka on the weekend.

Ivan Bogere, Pius Kaggwa and Frank Sebuufu will be the key players for the visiting Giants who are 13th on the log with 19 points.
