Vipers seek to keep leaders in sight

Reigning champions will turn to league action for the first time after bowing out of the Caf Champions League with a home game against Tooro United.

Second on the log with 24 points, three adrift of leaders KCCA, the Venoms want to win to keep the Kasasiro in sight.

But they will be without team captain Taddeo Lwanga who is still nursing a foot injury as well as Rahmat Ssenfuka and Noah Wafula are ruled out with a cold and fever respectively.

Goal keeper Bashir Ssekagya is still injured hence Fabien Mutombora or Derrick Ochan could start in goal.

The corresponding fixture last season ended in a 1-1 draw with Erisa Ssekisambu, now at Gor Mahia scoring for the hosts while Baker Lukooya, also in Kenya with AFC Leopards scored for then Soana.
