After failing to pick victory in their last two games, Vipers host Maroons eager to get off the mark.

They have drawn and lost once so far and find themselves in unfamiliar position on the table as they are second from bottom with a single point.

However, they have played 3-4 games less than most opponents due to continental engagements.

For Maroons, its game six and in the last five, they have registered two wins, as many draws and just one defeat.

Vipers lost their last game 1-0 to KCCA, ironically, the same opponents Maroons beat before coming into this encounter.

Vipers midfielder Siraje Ssentamu can’t wait to see his side get the first win and kick start their season.

“Maroons is a good team but tomorrow, we are looking straight and set to win our first game this season,” said Ssentamu.

“We haven’t been scoring goals, but the coaches have done everything to rectify these niggles and we’re ready for tomorrow. We have to pick the three points.”
