  • Vipers Vs UPDF – St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende 4pm

Vipers host army side UPDF in a fixture none wants to lose to achieve their season ambitions.

The Kitende showdown pits title chasing Vipers against Steven Bogere’s side that wants to survive the axe.

Top of the log with two points better than second place KCCA, the Venoms target maximum points to win the title without even looking at what happens at Namboole where their rivals visit Police.

“We are confident and calm,” midfielder Taddeo Lwanga insists. “I am optimistic we shall triumph and be champions,” he added.

Vipers can still fail to beat the army side and win the league if KCCA falter at Police but that can’t be relied on after celebrations were cut short on Tuesday with a late winner at Lugogo that took the league to the wire.

Daniel Sserunkuma, Milton Karisa and Erisa Sekisambu will again be the trio tasked to breakdown the usually resilient army side while the visitors will hope skipper Denis Sekitoleko and goalie Bashir Sekagya are at their best to thwart all attacks.

UPDF, fourth on the table from the base will survive with a win but can also stay in the league despite defeat if Express and Proline fail to win.
