Vipers SC Vs Onduparaka FC

Entry Fees: 5,000/= (Kirussia), 10,000/= (Covered stands) & 20,000/= (VIP)

Ahead of the highly anticipated Uganda Cup final clash between Vipers and Onduparaka, the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has named the match officials as well as revelead the charges.

In a weekly press conference at FUFA Headquarters in Mengo, the FUFA Competitions Committee Director Ali Mwebe revelead the entry fees for the match as Shs 20,000 (pavilion), 10,000 (covered stands) and Shs 5,000 for general stands (Kirussia) and gates will be open at 10 am while kickoff is at 4 pm.

Match Referees:

At the same conference, referees for the day in which either team will be seeking to win their first Uganda Cup were also named.

These will be led by FIFA referees Brian Nsubuga Miiro (Center referee), Okello Lee (1st assistant), Ronald Katenya (2nd assistant).

William Senkumba will be the 4th official while George Wamala Katumba is the match assessor.

Prizes and Prize Money

The grand prize was revealed by the FUFA Competitions Director, Ali Mwebe.

The winner of the Uganda Cup will walk away with a trophy, gold medals and a cash prize of Shs 7 million while the runners up will get Shs 2 million and silver medals

The top scorer will also be rewarded with a golden boot and Shs 200,000.

Muhammad Shaban of Onduparaka is currently leading the scorers tally with 7 goals followed by Erisa Ssekisambu of Vipers who are to face off in the final.

Vipers and Onduparaka CEOs Speak Out

Vipers Peter Lwanga said his side is well prepared for the crucial game and have already camped at Kitende admitting the side respects the new super league entrants.

We are ready for our opponents. It is not a simple team and we know what they can do on the pitch. We are in a residential camp in Kitende and set to play to our best and win this Cup. We respect Onduparaka, but this is the chance to smile with some silverware

For Anthony Afeti, Onduparaka CEO, it’s a game his side have always yearned for.

 We have been yearning to play Vipers. We thank God that this opportunity has come up

The winner of the competition will represent Uganda at the CAF Confederations Cup next year.
