Wakiso Giants 2-1 URA

Wakiso Giants will still meet their tax obligations the next time they cross paths with URA in other capacities.

But on the pitch on Tuesday, Wakiso Giants were the boss!

The Purple Sharks welcomed the Tax Collectors to the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium looking to avenge last season’s corresponding 5-0 defeat to URA.

Although they did not exact the same scoreline, Norman Ogik and Moses Aliro goals in either half ensured the 2-1 victory was just painful enough to carry back to wherever and whatever URA call home.

Wakiso’s third win in five matches moves them three places up to third on 10 points on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) table.

Leaders BUL have 11 points, followed by SC Villa on 10, with the Jogoos beating Wakiso on goal difference.

Coach Sam Timbe’s URA are seventh on six points from as many games.

The hosts, Wakiso, took a 1-0 half time lead on 43 minutes when Ojik grabbed his second goal of the season.

But the visitors levelled through Begisa on 58 minutes, also the URA striker’s second of the campaign.

Aliro then ensured of all three points for the Purple Sharks with the winner and his second of the campaign on 65 minutes.
