Asaph Mwebaze admits his charges didn’t responded well after conceding early against Express at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.
Daniel ‘Mzee’ Sserunkuma scored inside thirteen minutes from over 35 yards to give the hosts a lead and Mwebaze thinks that was the starting point in the Prisons’ side defeat.
“We had a very very poor game,” he told reporters. “We didn’t respond well when we went down early,” he added.
After just 13 minutes, we were a goal down and from then on, we didn’t recover it although we had much possession but without threatening.
We lost it when we conceded that first goal where I think we mishandled the ball on the left and the midfielders failed block and the man took a shot without.
Maroons have yet to hit the back of the net in four games but Mwebaze remains unworried.
It happens in football of course there comes a time when you have to score. Even the team we played today had almost gone same number of game but they scored and eventually won.
Maroons are bottom of the 16-team log with two points out of a possible twelve.
