Defender Paul Willa has departed Vipers SC after three impressive years at the Kitende outfit.
The versatile defender joined the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) champions from Police in 2019 and has been a permanent member of the first team.
Willa, who announced his departure on Monday, won two league titles with the club he often captained.
“Today,” he said, “I say goodbye to what has been my home for the last 3 years.
“I want to thank all the people who have accompanied me during this time; the club president, workers, the technical staff, the medical services and all the staff who take care of us.”
Last season was not Willa’s best as he was curtailed by injury in the last games of the campaign.
He, however, did bounce back to play the Stanbic Uganda Cup finals but also came off in the first half through injury.
Vipers have already secured Ashraf Mandela from URA as Villa’s replacement. Willa’s next destination remains unknown.
