Wounded Kirinya host high flying Vipers

Tuesday October 30

  • Kirinya Jinja SSS Vs Vipers, The Mighty Arena-Jinja SSS 4:30pm

Kirinya Jinja SS coach Charles Ayiekoh is optimistic his charges will rise up to the occasion when they host perfect Vipers at the Mighty Arena on Tuesday.

The Students come into the game on the back of a humiliating 3-0 home loss to Onduparaka while Vipers are on a four match winning streak after a 3-1 win at SC Villa.

“This is a big test because we are playing defending champions who have not yet lost a game and we are coming from a 3-0 loss at home,” admits Ayiekho. “We have not been performing poorly when facing Vipers,” he added.

“The record is decent. Personally as a coach, I have always put everything in the line when I meet Vipers; it has always been like a cup final and that’s what everyone should expect tomorrow.

The hosts will miss the services of skipper Geoffrey Akol through suspension.

Meanwhile, the visitors also don’t have skipper Taddeo Lwanga who was sent off against SC Villa.

Daniel Sserunkuma, Noah Wafula and Moses Waiswa are expected to lit up the game for Javier Martinez Espinoza side while Rahmat Ssenfuka is expected to get his first start in the league for the champions.
