Tanzania’s Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam will host the opening match on August 2nd, with Kasarani in Nairobi, Kenya taking charge of the final on 30th.
The Host Cities for the Group Stages of the tournament are as follows:
Group A | Nairobi: Kenya, Morocco, Angola, DR Congo, Zambia
Group B | Dar es Salaam: Tanzania, Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic
Group C | Kampala: Uganda, Niger, Guinea, South Africa, Algeria
Group D | Zanzibar: Senegal, *Congo, Sudan, Nigeria
*Following the decision of the CAF Appeals Board, Equatorial Guinea was replaced by Congo.*
African football governing body, CAF, in consultation with the three nations that will host this year’s TotalEnergies African Nations Championship Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda (CHAN) have announced the venues that will host the Opening, Third and Fourth and the Final Match of the Competition.
CHAN, initially meant to take place in 2024, will be held between August 2nd and 30th, 2025, marking a return to East African soil following the 2016 edition in Rwanda.

The Mandela Stadium in Kampala, Uganda has been designated to host the third and fourth match of the event.
Additionally, Namboole will also stage Group C matches including Uganda, South Africa, Algeria, Niger, and Guinea.
Kenya will be home to Group A, which consists of Morocco, Angola, DR Congo, and Zambia, while Group B – comprising Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, and the Central African Republic – will play their matches in Tanzania.
Zanzibar’s Amaan Stadium will host Group D, featuring defending champions Senegal, Sudan, Nigeria, and Congo, who – “following the decision of the Caf Appeals Board” – replaced Equatorial Guinea.
